Switchhiker.
The Action Works, has recently embarked on an exciting project in the realm of commercial advertising. We were tasked with creating a vehicle that not only embodies a futuristic aesthetic but also incorporates a playful, comic-like feel. To achieve this unique combination, we took an old Renault Espace model and meticulously transformed it into a sleek, visionary vehicle that balances modern innovation with a whimsical charm. This project underscores our commitment to creativity and our ability to blend classic designs with imaginative elements."

The Bog
This summer, Action Works was invited to join the art department for the Latvian movie The Bog, directed by Reinis Kalviņš. We collaborated with production designer Anneli Arusaar and art director Dāvis Līcītis to create the film’s early 1990s setting, capturing the eerie atmosphere of a Latvian bog. The film is produced by Gints Grūbe, with co-producers Verena Gräfe-Höft, Lisa Herbers, and Aet Laigu, and features cinematography by Jimmy Gimferrer. Look out for the release in 2025!
“This collaborative project between Marta Selecka and Action Works aimed to create a playful and engaging environment for the children’s show ‘Thumbs Up’. The design featured multiple layers and interactive elements, making it visually appealing and dynamic. Activities were seamlessly integrated, and the set responded creatively to correct or incorrect answers, adding an element of surprise and fun. The goal was to craft a visually stimulating and entertaining space for viewers.”
Ode diamonds
“A while ago, Action Works was invited by ODE Diamonds to create a unique showroom and event space. We designed stands using plaster and various tones to craft an interesting, almost cosmic atmosphere. The setup featured levitating elements and was highlighted by engaging lighting and video backdrops. Action Works led the design in collaboration with ODE Diamonds.”
